Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to Fred Web Systems LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company operating Lasting Lyrics as a division, and to this website, including the free preview, private order pages, customer support, and checkout. The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information without the required parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Information we collect
We collect information you intentionally submit, such as your name, email, optional phone number, preferred contact method, time zone, event details, names and pronunciations, relationship details, stories, musical preferences, and material needed to produce your song. A story may include personal information about a partner, family member, guest, or another person.
We also collect operational information needed to run and secure the service, such as order status, package and test-payment events, private-link and preview activity, file-download activity, timestamps, session information, and security events. The application stores privacy-protected hashes of some IP-address and browser user-agent values for rate limiting, security, and audit purposes. Hosting, CDN, and security providers may process ordinary connection and security telemetry under their own policies.
How we use information
We use information to review a request, confirm facts and permissions, create and quality-check a song, provide private preview and delivery access, process checkout, respond to corrections or revisions, communicate about the requested service, prevent abuse, protect the website, maintain accurate business and security records, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not use customer stories or finished songs for public marketing without separate permission.
Information about other people
If you submit information about another person, you are responsible for having permission or another lawful basis to do so and for submitting only information relevant to the requested song. Please avoid unnecessary sensitive information about anyone else.
Service providers and sharing
Information may be shared with service providers only as reasonably necessary for the service: Hostinger for hosting and storage; Cloudflare for DNS, delivery, and security; Stripe if the Stripe checkout is enabled; an approved email provider for service communications; and production tools or contractors whose access, privacy terms, and data-handling boundaries have been reviewed. Providers may process information in the United States or another country where they operate.
Production uses a paid third-party music-generation platform and related production tools. The full story and creative details you submit may be sent to the approved production provider, including names, pronunciation guidance, memories, lyrics, musical direction, and other details needed to create the song. We do not intentionally send payment-card data to that provider, and we do not intentionally use public-sharing features for customer work. Under the provider's current terms, submitted content and usage data may be retained, moderated, disclosed, analyzed, and used to operate or improve its services, including its models; those terms may also permit broad, ongoing rights in submitted content and disclosure that output was generated through the provider. We cannot control those provider practices, so do not submit information you are unwilling to have processed under the provider's terms. Contact us before submitting if you need the current provider and processing details for a particular order.
When enabled, our email provider delivers service messages and Stripe processes payments through hosted Checkout. Test and simulated checkouts are labeled before payment. The application does not send the full story or audio to Stripe.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, or handle a business transfer. We do not disclose customer stories publicly as part of ordinary operations.
Cookies, sessions, and browser drafts
The application uses a necessary session cookie for security and form or private-flow continuity. It does not intentionally embed optional analytics or advertising trackers. Third-party checkout or security services may use their own cookies when you visit their systems; see those providers' policies.
The intake can save an unfinished story draft in your browser's local storage. Required legal confirmations are excluded. The draft stays on the device, is removed on a later visit when it is more than seven days old, can be cleared from the form, and is removed after the server confirms a successful submission. Avoid saving a draft on a shared device.
Storage, security, and retention
Customer stories and files are treated as private. Audio, lyrics, artwork, and other deliverables are stored outside the public web directory where practical and accessed through controlled routes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, private tokens, protected storage, secure sessions, rate limiting, and activity logging. No online system can promise absolute security; keep private links confidential and notify us promptly if one is exposed.
Preview links normally expire after seven days and customer order links normally expire after 90 days, although links may be replaced or revoked sooner for security or operational reasons. Browser drafts expire as described above. The pilot does not yet promise a single fixed deletion period for every order, production, security, outbox, backup, or legal record. Records may be retained while reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain accounting and security records, comply with law, or protect legal claims. Before live commercial traffic or routine real customer material is accepted, a documented retention and deletion schedule must be approved and implemented.
We will follow applicable North Carolina and other breach-notification requirements if a covered security incident occurs. No policy language waives a legally required notice or other non-waivable right.
Your choices and requests
You may decline optional information, although missing details can limit personalization. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, ask for a replacement or revocation of a private link, or ask what information is retained. Email [email protected]. We may ask for reasonable information to verify the request, and we may retain information where legally required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal claims.
If you select phone or text as your preferred contact method, you authorize service-related contact at the number you provide. We do not use that selection as consent for automated marketing; message and data rates may apply.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service, providers, or retention practices change. We will update the date at the top and, for a material change, provide a more prominent notice when reasonably practical. The version in effect when information is collected governs that use unless the law requires otherwise.
